Porcelain Doll T-shirt
I saw a technique for turning cotton into porcelain and wanted to explore the process. My shower brain conjured up 'Porcelain Doll Clothes' - clothes for dolls made out of porcelain.
These Doll Clothes were created on a SK840 Knitting Machine using cotton yarn. The tiny clothes were then dipped in porcelain slip and fired in a kiln. During firing, the yarn burned away, leaving only the porcelain impression of the knitting behind.
